Heartbreakers 18U Elite Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Firecrackers FL-Diemer 18U

Heartbreakers 18U Elite defeated Firecrackers FL-Diemer 18U 16-3 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. Heartbreakers was down 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning when Alex Karamihas tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

The Heartbreakers earned the victory despite allowing Firecrackers FL-Diemer 18U to score three runs in the fifth inning. Victoria “Tori” Beland, Isabella “Bella” Correa, and Sarah Diemer each had RBIs in the big inning.
The Heartbreakers tallied ten runs in the seventh inning. Kassidy Tobery, Lindsey Windsor, Mel Firestone, Jessi Lindsay, Anabelle Stone, and Haylee Wastler all drove in runs in the frame.

Firestone took the win for The Heartbreakers. She surrendered three runs on seven hits over seven innings, walking one. Haley Duncan started the game for Firecrackers FL-Diemer 18U. She went five innings, allowing five runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking zero. Correa and Hannah Edwards entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.
