Seven RBI Day For Lindsey Windsor Brings Victory For Heartbreakers 18U Elite Over Maryland Fever

Lindsey Windsor would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Sunday, driving in seven on three hits to lead the Heartbreakers 18U Elite past Maryland Fever 12-4 on Sunday. Windsor drove in runs on a triple in the first, a double in the fourth, and a triple in the fifth.

The Heartbreakers grabbed an early lead and scored on a triple by Windsor, a single by Mel Firestone, and a single by Braidan Wastler in the first inning. The Heartbreakers scored four runs in the fifth inning. Ryleigh Bolyard and Windsor each had RBIs in the frame. Firestone was in the circle for Heartbreakers 18U Elite. She lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out one.

B. Merson started the game for Maryland Fever. She went five innings, allowing 12 runs on 13 hits and striking out one.
